Why Women Empowerment?

Some general problems faced by women

  • Gender Discrimination
  • Female infanticide
  • Atrocities on women, etc.…

Women have the right to have access to opportunities and resources; to have the power to control their lives; outside as well as at homes.

Here’s a quick statistics to understand women contribution in our lives:

  • Women account for 66% of world’s working hours but only 10% world’s income.
  • Women produce 50% of world’s food yet possess only 1% of its wealth.
  • Of about 900 million illiterate adults worldwide, about 2/3rd are women can you calculate how much that becomes???

These problems have only one solution and that is Women Empowerment.

This is how it started…

Considering all the previous points;

  • Our college students including boys thought of establishing a cell that’d not only empower girls, but would also encourage them to do everything they wish of.
  • This realization led to the formation of Women Empowerment Cell.
  • The cell has been constantly gaining recognition for its various activities and dedicated efforts with regards to the youth of our country.
